This portfolio presents four selected pieces that represent how my approach to communication has developed across different contexts, audiences, and formats during my degree in Communication and Digital Journalism at Thompson Rivers University.
Collectively, they demonstrate how I have developed to go beyond the presentation of information and instead focus on the way that information is interpreted and understood by different audiences. In all of the pieces, I have used storytelling, research, multimedia communication, and strategic design in a way that suits the purpose.
These pieces also reflect the Institutional Learning Outcomes emphasized throughout my degree, particularly the ability to communicate effectively using written, visual, and digital forms in professional contexts. Through these projects, I developed the ability to analyze information, make deliberate decisions about tone and structure, and adjust communication strategies to suit different audiences and situations.
The sections that follow introduce each piece in more detail, explaining why it was selected, the communication challenges it presented, and what it demonstrates about my development as a communicator.
